Newsletter May 2020

This period has been difficult for everyone but especially so for our residents and staff who navigate the lockdown in the best way possible.

All the residents are missing their loved ones but we have tried to keep in touch and we hope the day will come when we can open our doors to you all again. I am so grateful for all the work the staff do as I’m sure you are too.

Welcome to Dawn who joined us just at the start of lockdown, she is part time and lives locally, she will be a great asset to the team with 18 years care experience and qualifications behind her.

Well done to Tanhayer for finishing her full apprenticeship and achieving level 2 in health and social care plus the care certificate Samina is also studying level 3 in health and social Care and Vicky is adding health and social care to her previous list of a achievements in her former career in teaching.

We said goodbye to our latest resident Katy who has moved into a smaller living arrangement with Birtenshaw Care. We also said Goodbye to Maria who went to work for Birtenshaw.

We don’t have any current vacancies and have a team of 3 bank workers , Kelly, Oliver and Karen. Francess and Susan will be joined on the night rota by Samina who will do a mix of day and night shifts.

We have Susan and Christine who have been at Thicketford from the start and have both always been so reliable and consistent.
